Practice

I work on artistic processes, cultural programmes and the structures that shape how they come into being.

My practice combines dramaturgical and conceptual work with programming, project development and coordination. My role, responsibilities and ways of collaborating change with each undertaking.

Areas of Work

  1. Dramaturgy

Artistic research, conceptual development and dramaturgical support for choreographic and interdisciplinary work. The focus is on the artistic questions at hand and the shared working process.

  2. Project Conception

Development of artistic and cultural projects, partnerships and funding strategies. Funding advice and support with developing and preparing applications, as well as building sustainable organisational structures for artists, collectives and initiatives.

  3. Curation

Conception and shaping of artistic, cultural and discursive programmes. Developing event formats and conversation series, and bringing together different artistic positions, themes and perspectives in collaboration with artists, communities and institutions.

  4. Project Direction

Planning, leading and coordinating cultural projects, programmes and partnerships. Responsibility for organisational processes, resources and collaboration between artists, initiatives and institutions.

  5. Mediation

Development of artistic mediation and participatory formats in collaboration with communities and initiatives. Questions of accessibility and participation inform the design of shared working processes.

Collaboration & Networks

Not every question can be answered from within one’s own practice. Not all knowledge needs to sit with one person.

Part of my work is to identify the expertise an undertaking requires, bring existing experience together and involve the people whose knowledge is needed. I draw on a network built over many years across art, culture, research and social practice.

I develop interdisciplinary partnerships, mediate between different working contexts and involve specialist expertise where it is needed.
