A Room Without Walls at Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm

Ein Raum ohne Wände is an international performance for young audiences by LIGNA in collaboration with choreographers Alejandro Ahmed, Ghida Hachicho and Eisa Jocson. Through voice recordings, movement and choreographic experiments, children from Frankfurt, São Paulo, Beirut and La Union in the Philippines explored how encounters and shared action can take place across geographical boundaries. This gave rise to a participatory sound and movement piece that invites the audience to become part of the choreography.

Sām Sabor was responsible for artistic mediation as part of Tanzplattform Rhein-Main. He proposed involving blind and partially sighted pupils from Frankfurt’s Hermann-Herzog-Schule and supported their participation in the artistic development process.

His work brought together the school, the artistic team and Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm. It centred on the question of how children’s different ways of perceiving and their experiences can be included in a shared artistic process.
